"She was playing around here last night."

What do you mean by that statement?

Do you know anything about the history of the arks?

1)Sha (short for Shasha) is a person and she went to that website and played around with the Jackson Pollock animation.

2)I know that the Arks where an arts community at the early part of last century with painters , a vaudeville actor, etc... Jack London is reported to have crashed there on occasion.

From my February 21, 2006 post:"The Oakland Tribune is reporting the US Army Corps of Engineers plans to tear down the remaining three structures that once were the Arks community in Fruitvale. According to the article, "During the 1930s,'40s and'50s, the arks were populated by a colony of artists, writers, laborers, eccentrics and families who thrived in an unconventional lifestyle. Painter Otto Riehl lived in one ark, as did vaudeville actor Bill Hill. Jack London is said to have visited the colony to harvest oysters. " Because the Arks are located on federal property, it seems that local officials and the historical society will be powerless to stop the razing of these structures."

3)You can see the buildings from the Fruitvale Bridge pretty well.

Are you connected with the Arks? If so please contact me directly at chasepark [at] hotmail [dot] com.
