One of the beauties of teaching Valerie Solanas's SCUM Manifesto (source has typos, sorry) in a freshwomen comp class is the complete inability to be neutral. If nothing else, the text draws out an argumentative thesis, one way or the other.

hey, awesome, thanks for posting that. i was recently watchin gthe andy warhol doc on pbs and thought i should read this, but then forgot.
We read the Communist Manifesto just before it and go a little into genre studies: what are the expectations of a manifesto, etc... It seems to be working well.
