Sedaris went in less than a half hour. Poe is gone after 2 hours, and poor Emily is still on the table.

that's what i expected, actually. but i don't think the results are discouraging. when i read your post, i thought, "i'd take the sedaris." why? because i already have multiple volumes of dickinson and poe. unless you put out the franklin edition, i'd take the book i didn't already own. i wonder if your results would vary in other departments?
